A Delta Air Lines dream flight touched down at Melbourne International Airport today carrying 180 students from the ACE Academy sponsored by the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP).
The middle- and high-school students from across the country didn’t know their destination before boarding the flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, but they soon learned they would spend the day at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Read More

Melbourne International Airport and US Airways have announced what is believed to be the single largest private marketing investment in Brevard County tourism – dedicated to boosting the Space Coast as a destination.
The airline, which resumed daily flights to Melbourne less than six months ago, is partnering with the City of Melbourne and the Space Coast Office of Tourism in a comprehensive, six-month marketing campaign that combines nearly $200,000 in local dollars with a more than 2-to-1 match from US Airways. Orlando-Melbourne International Airport’s use of Twitter to reach out to customers is getting high marks. A recent ranking of airports using the popular social-networking site named Melbourne International the world’s best.
As published in Forbes.com’s “Wheels Up” column, Orlando-Melbourne International was at the top of the list created by Ontario-based AirGate Solutions, an airport marketing and consulting company. Airport officials put out a call for resumes a little more than a month ago to show aviation-related industries that the area has the work force to fulfill their needs.
