Nonstop RT Jet Service on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays & Mondays Starts November 17; More Flights Added During Peak Holiday Weeks in November, December and April; Tickets Available at EliteAirways.com
September 14, 2016 – Melbourne, FL – In response to strong passenger demand, Elite Airways LLC has doubled scheduled service between Portland International Jetport (PWM) and Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB) to four times weekly on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays starting November 17. The airline currently operates twice-weekly nonstop jet service between Melbourne and Naples, Florida (APF), Long Island Islip (ISP), and the Portland Jetport (PWM). In addition to the 50% increase in weekly flights, the airline added even more flights during busy holiday vacation weeks in November, December and April. Tickets are now available for purchase at 877-393-2510 and EliteAirways.com.
Today’s announcement underscores Elite Airways’ continued growth and expansion, as it recently announced the addition of nonstop jet service between Sarasota-Bradenton, FL (SRQ) and Portland, ME starting Nov 17. Founded in 2006, Elite Airways operates a fleet of Bombardier CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 jet airliners known for comfort and efficiency, and maintains an impeccable safety record. Passengers receive free onboard snacks and beverages, first checked bag up to 50lbs, and no ticketing change fees (see website for details). Elite Airways is also pet friendly.
“The Portland/Melbourne route has been a strong performer since launching last fall, and we are pleased to double the service to four-times weekly in time for holiday and winter travel,” said John Pearsall, President of Elite Airways. “The success of our northeast-to-Florida routes has been a significant factor in Elite Airways’ success and expansion, and we look forward to introducing more exciting destinations in the future.”
“Orlando Melbourne International Airport is growing as the gateway to Florida. Downeasters especially appreciate our landing approach–right over barrier islands and some of the most beautiful tropical beaches in the world. Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, Walt Disney World and Harry Potter are all within driving distance, but without the hassle of larger, congested airports,” said Greg Donovan, AAE, Executive Director, Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB).
“We are pleased to see that Elite is doubling their service to the Orlando/Melbourne area,” said Paul Bradbury, Airport Director at the Portland International Jetport. “This service has been very well received by our passengers and the additional capacity and additional days of service will be a big win for Mainers looking to get to the beaches of Florida this winter.”
